SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability is important to Deep Inspired. We’re getting greener every step of the way, while still providing you with the quality products you deserve. Around 85% of all textiles produced by the fashion industry end up in landfills, making it a major contributor to environmental damage.
What's more, one in five items produced by the fashion industry reaches landfills without being worn even once.
PRINT-ON-DEMAND
We work with on-demand suppliers and only produce items we get an order for, avoiding textile waste from overproduction. Our printing partner’s high-quality printing tech creates almost no waste waters and uses less energy than standard industry printers. At Deep Inspired, we’re continuously working toward greener production.
DIRECT-TO-GARMENT
Many of our products are printed with the direct-to-garment (DTG) technique, which is a printing method where ink is first sprayed directly onto the garment, and then it soaks into the fabric. It’s like printing on paper, but on clothing. We use Kornit printers that generate almost zero wastewater and use less energy than standard industry printers, which lowers our carbon footprint.
The inks we use for printing are Oeko-Tex™ certified (tested for harmful substances), vegan, water-based, and free of harmful chemicals. We also take care to properly dispose of any left-over ink according the ink supplier guidelines.
EMBROIDERY
We use Oeko-Tex™ certified threads, which are safe for adult clothing clothing. When compared to printing, embroidery is more durable with less environmental waste.
HELPING THE PLANET
Since we have warehouses in the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK, this allows you to get your item faster if you live in these countires while reducing pollution with excessive transportation and fuel costs.
PRODUCT PACKAGING
This information applies to our in-house facilities. At Deep Inspired Living all apparel products are packed in post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic mailers. The amount of PCR in the packaging will differ depending on where your order gets printed, but it’s at least 50% for the outside (white or grey) poly mailer bags and at least 30% for the inside (clear) bags used in multi-item shipments.
PCR packaging is made from everyday items, like used plastic bags and bottles. This material protects your order just as well as regular plastic bags, however, choosing PCR over first-use plastics reduces the environmental impact plastic has on our planet.
SOCIALLY CONSCIOUS
We partnered with ethical trade organization Sedex to help ensure transparency and supplier compliance, and to guarantee ethical working standards for workers across the globe. We're committed to ensuring ethical and fair-labor practices within our own operations and we seek and expect from our suppliers to do the same.
We work with a wide variety of various suppliers located in the US, the EU, and other countries and regions to provide us with the materials for our production. We work with members of Sedex, which allows us to identify and compare risks across the world (by country and sector, and find out if products from certain countries have a high risk of forced labor).
Our Code of Conduct provides a whistleblowing hotline across our supply chain, a channel for workers to highlight concerns they have about their employment or working conditions.
